Golf Teams Wrap Up Dolenc Invitational and Butler Fall Invitational

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Both the Green Bay men's and women's golf teams wrapped up their respective tournaments Tuesday afternoon. The men competed at the SIUE Dolenc Invitational in Madison, Ill., while the women took part in the Butler Fall Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind.

MEN'S RESULTS
As a team, the Phoenix finished middle of the pack, 11th out of 19 teams. Unfortunately for GB, they started the third round in third place and fell to 11th on Tuesday. Green Bay finished -2 as a team, while Idaho won the event at -31.

Mason Haupt led the early surge for GB, shooting a 63 (-8) in round two, a school record. Haupt sat in the individual lead at -11 after two rounds, but shot +3 in round three, eventually finishing T4 at -8. Brett Wieland also shot under par, finishing -1 for a T29 finish. Lincoln Hottmann, Max Reis, and Logan Pechinski rounded out the top five for GB, finishing T51 (+3), T82 (+11), and T86 (+14), respectively.

WOMEN'S RESULTS
The women finished 12th out of 14 teams at Butler. The Phoenix shot +71 across three rounds, while the winners, Marian (IN), shot +29.

Green Bay was led individually by Riley Pechinski who finished T28 at +16. Jordan Shipshock wasn't far behind, firing off a +19 for a T36 finish. Pink Mangan shot a +21 and T47 finish, while Ellie Frisch finished +22 for a T52 finish.

UP NEXT
Both teams will be in action again next weekend, with the women competing in the WMU Bronco Fall Classic while the men will compete in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State. Both events will start on Oct. 6 and end on Oct. 7.
