Green Bay, Wis. – For the second straight week, Green Bay junior Noah Jahnke is the meet champion for the Phoenix. Jahnke defended his first-place Phoenix Open title at the Phoenix Alumni Cross Country Course at Shorewood. The men's team placed second while the women finished sixth.

Men's Recap
Jahnke was dominant again for the Phoenix, beating the field with an 8K time of 24:23.6, 30 seconds ahead of second place. Mason Gates had another top-five finish with a time of 25:14.1. Ethan Onesti followed up his top-five finish last week with a ninth-place finish at the Phoenix Open. Green Bay had a score of 66. UW-Stevens Point won the meet with a score of 46.
Women's Recap
The women's team finished sixth with a score of 153. Freshmen once again led the way for the Phoenix. This week, Madison Lotten was Green Bay's best finisher in 15th with a 6K time of 22.55.7, followed by fellow freshman Cianna Wipperfurth, who placed 24th with a time of 23.06.5. Grace Beyer was the third Phoenix to cross the line with a time of 23:33.1, nearly a minute faster than her race at the Phoenix Open last year. St. Thomas won the event with 47 points.

Green Bay has a week off before they travel to conference rivals Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, September 20th.
