Phoenix Set to Host Wright State

GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay women's basketball team is 12-0 in the Horizon League for the first time since the 2012-13 season as they close out a three-game homestand against Wright State tomorrow.

ABOUT THE RAIDERS        
The Raiders are led by fifth-year head coach Kari Hoffman, who spent five years at Division II Cedarville prior to coaching the Raiders. Wright State is sitting at 6-15 and 2-8 in Horizon League play heading into Green Bay. The Raiders are led by Breezie Williams, who averages 12.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. Claire Henson averages 9.9 points and Lauren Scott is third on the team in scoring at 9.0 points per game.

LAST TIME OUT
Maddy Skorupski set a new season-high 22 points on a 7-of-10 shooting day to help lead the Green Bay women's basketball team over the Detroit Mercy Titans 72-61 at home Saturday. The Phoenix has won nine straight games and is now 12-0 in the Horizon League. Skorupski added five rebounds, three assists, and two steals to her 22-point game to lead the Phoenix. Jenna Guyer helped out with her fourth double-double of the season, tallying 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Meghan Schultz chipped in with 11 points and two steals.

PROTECT HOME COURT
Green Bay has been strong at home in 2025-26, starting the year 10-0. The Phoenix is 7-3 on the road and 0-2 on a neutral court.
 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL MIDMAJOR POLL
Green Bay has been in the top five of the CollegeInsider Women's Basketball Top 25 Poll most of the season. Green Bay is currently sitting at #5 in the latest poll from January 27th.
 
MEG-NIFICANT MEGHAN
Redshirt-Sophomore Meghan Schultz has had a breakout season, and is second on the Phoenix, scoring 12.4 points and third in rebounds at 4.6 per game. Schultz has scored in double figures in 14 of GB's 22 games.
 
SKORING SKORUPSKI
Former Oakland standout and one of two Horizon League All-League players left in the league from a season ago, Maddy Skorupski led the way for Green Bay with 19 points and five rebounds in Saturday's 72-61 win over Detroit Mercy. Skorupski is third on the team in points per game at 10.6, second in assists, averaging 4.2 (also second in the HL), and leads GB with 2.2 steals per game. After 21 points at Oakland and 18 points at Detroit Mercy last week, Skorupski was named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Jan. 12.
 
PASSING PEPPLER
Phoenix point guard Kamy Peppler leads the Horizon League at 4.2 assists per game, while Maddy Skorupski is in second, also at 4.2 per game. Peppler scored her 1,000th career point against Milwaukee on Jan. 17, 2026.
 
GUYER ON FIRE
Redshirt-Senior forward Jenna Guyer returned to the Phoenix lineup on Nov. 22 after an injury kept her out the first five games of the season. In 17 games since then, Guyer has scored in double figures 15 times, including 11 straight times. Guyer is first on the team, averaging 14.4 points per game, and secured her fourth double-double of the season vs. Milwaukee last Saturday, adding 10 rebounds to her 15 points. Guyer was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, Jan. 19.
 
WINNING WITH KARIUS
Head Coach Kayla Karius earned her 75th career win in her fourth season as an NCAA Division I head coach with an 89-55 win against Wright State on Dec. 30, 2025.

KARIUS ERA
After winning the Horizon League and making the NCAA Tournament in her first season as the Phoenix Head Coach, Kayla Karius will look to do the same in year two with an overhauled roster. Green Bay graduated seven seniors and 85.2% of its scoring from 2024-25. The 2025-26 Phoenix features eight newcomers, consisting of six transfers and two true freshmen. After two seasons as the head coach at South Dakota and her seasons with the Phoenix, Karius holds an all-time record of 83-40.
