MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Green Bay men's soccer team's season came to an end Tuesday afternoon, as the Phoenix fell to the Milwaukee Panthers on the road, 2-1. A late Panthers goal from Felix Huwiler was the difference.
Green Bay needed three points for a chance to secure a spot in the Horizon League Championships.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Milwaukee got on the board first after an AJ Wild goal in the 18th minute made it 1-0 Panthers. GB had just three shots in the first half and was unable to respond in the first 45.
However, it didn't take long for the Phoenix to respond in the second half, when James Dorchester scored his first goal of the season in the 52nd minute to tie it up. The goal was assisted by Noah Radeke and Dylan Drendel.
Both teams had ample opportunities to find a winner in the second half, with the Panthers slightly outshooting GB 13-10 in the frame. As mentioned earlier, MKE eventually found the winner from Huwiler in the game's 87th minute.

- Green Bay received two yellow cards. Rayme Nyembwe and Noah Lechelt were cautioned.
- Milwaukee's Kellen Diercks was the host's only player carded.
- Drew Swancutt piled up six saves for the Phoenix out of 20 total Panthers' shots.
