ABOUT THE VIKINGS
Cleveland State is led by eighth-year head coach Chris Kielsmeier, leading one of the top Horizon League programs during his tenure. CSU had a 27-10 record last year, and sits at 18-8 overall and 8-7 in the HL coming into Friday's game. The Vikings are led by a trio of double-digit scorers, highlighted by Izabella Zingaro's 16.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Colbi Maples averages 14.5 points while Jada Leonard averages 12.9 points per game. The Vikings are strong on both sides of the ball, scoring the second-most points in the league (70.3 points per game), while allowing the third-fewest points per game (59.4 points per game).
ABOUT THE NORSE
Northern Kentucky is led by second-year head coach Jeff Hans, who sits at a record of 11-14 entering their Thursday's game at Milwaukee. The Norse is 8-6 in the Horizon League and beat Oakland their last time out against Oakland on Feb. 3, by a score of 77-76. Northern Kentucky is led by a pair of double-figure scorers, including 14.7 points per game by Karina Bystry and 10.6 points from Maddie Moody. The Norse have one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league, pouring in 68.2 points per game, the third-most in the league.
LAST TIME OUT
Jenna Guyer secured the Phoenix win with an 8-0 run to end the game against Youngstown State 54-51 on the road Saturday. The Phoenix (20-5, 15-0) had two players score in double figures, led by
Jenna Guyer, who had 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and one steal.
Meghan Schultz tacked on 14 points and four rebounds. With Saturday's win, the Phoenix Basketball team has wrapped up the #1 seed in the Horizon League and at least a share of the regular season title.
HORIZON LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
For the second-straight season, the Phoenix has wrapped up at least a share of the Horizon League Regular Season Championship. Green Bay has won the regular-season title three out of the last four years.

Green Bay has crossed the 20+ win threshold for the fourth consecutive season. The Phoenix has had 20+ wins 36 times and is currently in its 53rd season.
PROTECT HOME COURT

WELCOME BACK WESTIN!
Redshirt-Sophomore
Maren Westin rehabbed for 407 days after a season-ending knee injury last season to return to the court, and made the most of her first moments back on the floor. The Becker, Minnesota native immediately grabbed a rebound and went coast to coast for a layup within ten seconds of subbing in. Westin scored six points, three rebounds, two steals, and an assist in her nine-minute return on Jan. 22 against Oakland.
PASSING PEPPLER
Phoenix point guard
Kamy Peppler leads the Horizon League at 4.4 assists per game, while
Maddy Skorupski is in second, also at 4.1 per game. Peppler scored her 1,000th career point against Milwaukee on Jan. 17. Peppler also hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to defeat Robert Morris 61-58 on Thursday.
SCORING SKORUPSKI
Former Oakland standout and one of two Horizon League All-League players left in the league from a season ago. Skorupski is third on the team in points per game at 10.4, second in assists, averaging 4.1 (also second in the HL), and leads GB with 2.1 steals per game. She scored her 1,000th career point against RMU on Thursday. Skorupski was also named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Jan. 12.
CARLEY COMING HOME
A disciple of
Kayla Karius during their time together at South Dakota, the two-time CSC Academic All-District player of Green Bay Preble High School scored her 1,000th career collegiate point in the team's victory over Youngstown State on Dec. 7. Through 25 games, Duffney is averaging 7.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. Duffney has scored in double figures in eight out of GB's 25 games. She scored a season-high 17 points at Oakland on Jan. 8 and had a 12-point outing against Oakland on Jan. 22.
GUYER ON FIRE
Redshirt-Senior forward
Jenna Guyer returned to the Phoenix lineup on Nov. 22 after an injury kept her out of the first five games of the season. In 20 games since then, Guyer has scored in double figures 18 times, including 14 straight times. Guyer is first on the team, averaging 14.7 points per game, and secured her fifth double-double of the season vs. Wright State last Thursday, adding 10 rebounds to her 20 points. Guyer was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, Jan. 19.

After winning the Horizon League and making the NCAA Tournament in her first season as the Phoenix Head Coach,
Kayla Karius will look to do the same in year two with an overhauled roster. Green Bay graduated seven seniors and 85.2% of its scoring from 2024-25. The 2025-26 Phoenix features eight newcomers, consisting of six transfers and two true freshmen. After two seasons as the head coach at South Dakota and her seasons with the Phoenix, Karius holds an all-time record of 86-40.
