Green Bay Set for Final Week of Regular Season

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay women's basketball team plays its final home game of the regular season on Wednesday against IU Indy at 6 p.m. CST before traveling to Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday for the team's regular season finale at 1 p.m. CST.

ABOUT THE JAGUARS
IU Indy is led by fourth-year head coach Kate Bruce, who has the Jaguars at a 12-15 record entering Wednesday's game. IU Indy is led in scoring by junior Nevaeh Foster, who averages 12.8 points per game. Fellow Junior Hailey Smith is also averaging 9.5 points per game for the Jaguars. Smith leads IU Indy in both rebounds per game, grabbing 6.0 boards on average, and assists per game, dishing 2.2 per game. Olivia Smith is the only other Jaguar averaging in double figures at 10.6 points per game.

ABOUT THE MASTODONS
Purdue Fort Wayne is led by reigning Horizon League Coach of the Year Maria Marchesano, who guided the team to its first Horizon League Championship game in program history in her fourth season a year ago. PFW is 16-12 and is in fifth place in the HL at 10-8. The Mastodons are led by the Horizon League's top scorer, Alana Nelson, who averages a conference-best 16.5 points per game. PFW also gets 11.2 points per game from Lili Krasovec and 10.5 points from Jordan Reid, the Mastodons' lone returning starter from last season.

LAST TIME OUT
Jenna Guyer scored a career-high 23 points on senior day to help lead the Green Bay women's basketball team to a 91-57 win over the Milwaukee Panthers at home Saturday, in front of the largest crowd of the season. With the win, the Phoenix locked up the Horizon League Regular Season Title outright. 
 
HORIZON LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
For the second-straight season, the Phoenix won the Horizon League Regular Season Championship. Green Bay has won the regular season title three out of the last four years.
 
20+ WINS
Green Bay has crossed the 20+ win threshold for the fourth consecutive season. The Phoenix has had 20+ wins 36 times and is currently in its 53rd season.
 
PROTECT HOME COURT
Green Bay has been strong at home in 2025-26, with a 12-1 record. The Phoenix is 9-4 on the road and 0-2 on a neutral court.
 
POSTSEASON PICTURE
Green Bay has secured the No. 1 seed for the Horizon League Championships and will host the winner of the play-in game on Wednesday, March 4, at 7 p.m. CST.
 
NATIONALLY SIGNIFICANT
Green Bay is ranked in the top 50 nationally in multiple categories. The Phoenix is 11th per game in assist/turnover ratio (1.39), 20th in assists per game (17.6), and 30th in field goal percentage allowed (36.8-percent).
 
WELCOME BACK WESTIN!
Redshirt-Sophomore Maren Westin rehabbed for 407 days after a season-ending knee injury last season to return to the court, and made the most of her first moments back on the floor. The Becker, Minnesota native immediately grabbed a rebound and went coast to coast for a layup within ten seconds of subbing in. Westin scored six points, three rebounds, two steals, and an assist in return on Jan. 22 against Oakland.
 
PASSING PEPPLER
Phoenix point guard Kamy Peppler leads the Horizon League at 4.5 assists per game, while Maddy Skorupski is second, at 4.4 per game. Peppler scored her 1,000th career point against Milwaukee on Jan. 17. Peppler also hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to defeat Robert Morris 61-58 on Feb. 5.
 
SCORING SKORUPSKI
Former Oakland standout and one of two Horizon League All-League players left in the league from a season ago. Skorupski is third on the team in points per game at 10.9, second in assists, averaging 4.4 (second in the HL), and leads GB with 2.0 steals per game. She scored her 1,000th career point against RMU on Feb. 5. Skorupski was named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Jan. 12.
 
CARLEY COMING HOME
A disciple of Kayla Karius during their time together at South Dakota, the two-time CSC Academic All-District player of Green Bay Preble High School scored her 1,000th career collegiate point in the team's victory over Youngstown State on Dec. 7. Through 27 games, Duffney is averaging 7.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Duffney has scored in double figures in nine out of GB's 28 games. She scored 16 points and recorded six rebounds on Senior Day vs Milwaukee last Saturday.
SCORING SCHULTZ
Redshirt sophomore Meghan Schultz has had a breakout season for head coach Kayla Karius, sitting at second on the team in scoring at 12.5 points to go with 4.3 rebounds per game. Schultz has scored 20+ points five times this season.
 
GUYER ON FIRE
Redshirt-Senior forward Jenna Guyer returned to the Phoenix lineup on Nov. 22 after an injury kept her out of the first five games of the season. In 23 games since then, Guyer has scored in double figures 21 times, including 17 straight times. Guyer is first on the team, averaging 14.7 points per game, and secured her career-high in points with 23 on Senior Day vs Milwaukee. Guyer was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, Jan. 19.

WINNING WITH KARIUS
Head Coach Kayla Karius earned her 80th career win in her fourth season as an NCAA Division I head coach with a 69-57 win against Purdue Fort Wayne on Jan. 14, 2026.

KARIUS ERA
After winning the Horizon League and making the NCAA Tournament in her first season as the Phoenix Head Coach, Kayla Karius will look to do the same in year two with an overhauled roster. Green Bay graduated seven seniors and 85.2% of its scoring from 2024-25. The 2025-26 Phoenix features eight newcomers, consisting of six transfers and two true freshmen. After two seasons as the head coach at South Dakota and her seasons with the Phoenix, Karius holds an all-time record of 87-42.
