GREEN BAY, Wis. - Green Bay's men's soccer alum Tim Alexander is being inducted into the Wisconsin Soccer Hall of Fame! Alexander will join the class of 2026 on Saturday, March 14, in Pewaukee, Wis., at the Ingleside Hotel.
Alexander has a wealth of coaching experience, including coaching the Edgewood College men's soccer program starting in 1990 and the women's program in 1993. In September 2013, Alexander became the 17th coach in NCAA history to reach 500 wins. Alexander guided the women to over 300 victories and amassed 243 while head coach of the men's program from 1990 to 2014.
In 26 seasons as the women's head coach, Alexander set a career record of 331-160-29 (.664) and 199-45-8 (.806) in conference play while coaching two Honorable Mention All-Americans, 19 NSCAA All-Region, seven Conference Player of the Years, eight All-Conference Freshman of the Year, and 90 First Team All-Conference selections through the 2017 season. He is also a 10-time conference Coach of the Year honoree.
Alexander is the only soccer coach to win Lake Michigan Coach of the Year honors, as voted on by his peers, in the same year in both the men's and women's soccer ranks. He has done so three times in his career (1999, 1996, and 1994). In addition, Alexander was honored on the men's side in 1998 and four times on the women's side (1997, 1998, 2001, and 2004), giving him a total of 11 LMC Coach of the Year awards.
Before his journey with the Eagles began, Alexander built an impressive 153-31-6 record at Green Bay Premontre High School (now Notre Dame Academy). His Premontre teams won nine FVCC championships, and all eleven of his teams advanced to the WISAA playoffs. Under Alexander's direction, Premontre finished state runner-up five times.
Alexander was an accomplished player in his own right. In 1974, he earned the first of two First Team National Junior College All-American awards before transferring to UW-Green Bay. At UW-Green Bay, he became a two-time All-Midwest player as a defender. He helped the Phoenix reach the final four of the NCAA DII soccer tournament in 1977. Alexander went on to coach the Phoenix in 1978 as an Assistant Coach.
Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Regional Analysis from UW-Green Bay.Â
