Guyer Wins Player of Year, Karius Coach of the Year, Skorupski and Schultz #HLWBB All-League

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Monday afternoon, the Horizon League announced the annual All-League Awards. Multiple Phoenix players earned accolades, including a Player of the Year selection for Jenna Guyer and a Coach of the Year award for Phoenix head coach Kayla Karius.

In addition to her Player of the Year award, Guyer also secured First Team and All-Defensive Team honors, highlighting her dominance on both ends of the floor. Despite missing five games at the start of the season, she led the team in scoring at 14.8 points per game to go along with her team-leading 6.2 rebounds per game. The redshirt-senior ranked sixth and eighth in the league in those categories, respectively. The Circle Pines, Minn., native was a beacon of consistency for the Phoenix, scoring in double figures in 23 of her 25 games, including 19 games in a row to end the season. Guyer also had five double-doubles this season.

Karius wins her first Horizon League Coach of the Year award after leading Green Bay to a second straight year despite graduating seven seniors and 85.2-percent of its scoring from the 2024-25 team. The 2025-26 Phoenix featured eight newcomers, consisting of six transfers and two true freshmen. Through two years with the Phoenix, Karius holds a record of 51-14 and 36-4 in the HL.

For the second year in a row, Maddy Skorupski was named All-League Second Team, this time in the Green & White. She ranks second in the Horizon League in assists at 4.3 per game, serving as an engine of the offense, setting the tone with her playmaking ability. Skorupski has scored in double figures in 17 of the team's 30 games this season and finished the regular season averaging 11.0 points to go along with 5.6 rebounds per game. Skorupski was also very impactful defensively, finishing fifth in the league, racking up 1.9 steals per game.

Redshirt-sophomore Meghan Schultz started all 30 games this season for GB and earned All-League Third Team recognition. She has been one of Green Bay's most reliable scoring options, sitting second on the team at 12.6 points per game to go with 4.2 rebounds per game. The post threat is also the most efficient offensive player for the Phoenix, finishing the season shooting 57.8-percent from the field. Schultz scored 20+ points six times this season.

Kamy Peppler represented the program as a Sportsmanship Award finalist, reflecting her leadership and character. Peppler has been a steady presence both on and off the court, running the team from the point guard position.

Green Bay will await the results of the 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Championship play-in game between IU Indy and Milwaukee tonight. The winner will travel to Green Bay on Wednesday to take on the Phoenix at 7 p.m. CST. Fans can purchase tickets here or stream live on ESPN+.
