INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Green Bay women's basketball team is set to play in the Horizon League Semifinals on Monday against No. 5 Purdue Fort Wayne at the Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis at 11 a.m. CST.
The Mastodons bested the No. 7 seed IU Indy Sunday afternoon by a score of 85-49. Purdue Fort Wayne shot 60.7-percent from the floor and 46.7-percent from three.

ABOUT THE MASTODONS
Purdue Fort Wayne is led by 2025 Horizon League Coach of the Year Maria Marchesano, who guided the team to its first Horizon League Championship game appearance in program history a year ago. PFW is 20-12 overall and finished the year 12-8 in the HL, grabbing the No. 5 seed. PFW took down No. 7 seed IU Indy on Sunday 85-49 to advance to the semis. The Mastodons are led by the Horizon League's second leading scorer, Alana Nelson, who averages 16.1 points per game. PFW also gets 10.9 points per game from Lili Krasovec and 10.8 points from Jordan Reid, the Mastodons' lone returning starter from last season.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
The two teams split a pair of games in the season series, with each team winning on their home court. Green Bay took down PFW in Green Bay on Jan. 24 by a score of 69-57.
Jenna Guyer led all scorers on the day with 17 to go with her eight rebounds.
The Mastodons got their revenge in the season finale on Feb. 28, taking the Phoenix down 71-66.
Meghan Schultz led all scorers with 20 points, however, PFW had four finish in double digits led by Alana Nelson's 18.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE MASTODONS
Green Bay is 15-2 against the Mastodons in the all-time series. The two teams have played each other in the Horizon League Championships three times, including the 2025 Horizon League Championship, which the Phoenix took 76-63. GB is 3-0 against the 'dons in the tournament.
PHOENIX IN INDY
Green Bay women's basketball is 27-2 in the Horizon League Tournament Semifinals since joining the league in the 1994-95 season. The Phoenix has won the HL Tournament 18 times and has made it as far as the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament (2011).

Maddy Skorupski showed out with a triple-double - 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, and
Jenna Guyer scored her 1,000th career point to lead the Green Bay women's basketball team past the Detroit Mercy Titans 81-57 at home Wednesday in the Barbasol Horizon League Championship First Round. In Guyer's last game at the Kress Center, she finished with a career-high 25 points and nine rebounds.
Carley Duffney added 14 points, and
Meghan Schultz added 13 points, six rebounds, and two blocks.
HORIZON LEAGUE AWARDS
On Monday afternoon last week, the Horizon League announced the #HLWBB All-League Awards. Green Bay headlined the awards with the Player of the Year in
Jenna Guyer and the Coach of the Year in
Kayla Karius. In addition to her Player of the Year award, Guyer also secured First Team and All-Defensive Team honors.
Maddy Skorupski was named All-League Second Team,
Meghan Schultz was named All-League Third Team, and
Kamy Peppler was a Sportsmanship Award Finalist.
SEEING DOUBLE
Green Bay women's basketball Head Coach
Kayla Karius became the first-ever woman to win both Horizon League Player of the Year (2010-11) and Coach of the Year (2025-26). Karius led Green Bay to a combined record of 52-14 and 36-4 in the Horizon League in her first two seasons as the head coach. The Phoenix looks to make their third consecutive NCAA Tournament.
HORIZON LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
For the second-straight season, the Phoenix won the Horizon League Regular Season Championship. Green Bay has won the regular season title three out of the last four years.

Green Bay has crossed the 20+ win threshold for the fourth consecutive season. The Phoenix has had 20+ wins 36 times and is currently in its 53rd season.

Green Bay is ranked in the top 50 nationally in multiple categories. The Phoenix is 17th per game in assist/turnover ratio (1.33), 18th in assists per game (17.4), and 35th in field goal percentage allowed (37.2 percent).
TRIPLE DOUBLE
Former Oakland standout and one of two Horizon League All-League players left in the league from a season ago,
Maddy Skorupski, became the second player in program history to record a triple-double on Wednesday vs. Detroit Mercy. The only triple-double in Green Bay women's basketball history prior to Wednesday was on Feb. 28, 2004, when Mary Kulenkamp had 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists vs. UIC. Skorupski finished with 12 points, ten boards, and ten assists to complete the historic stat line. Skorupski is third on the team in points per game at 11.1, first in assists, averaging 4.5 (most in the HL), and leads GB with 1.9 steals per game. She scored her 1,000th career point against RMU on Feb. 5. Skorupski was named All-League Second Team for the second time in her career last Monday.
HOMECOMING QUEEN

Carley Duffney returned to her hometown of Green Bay to play her senior year under her old head coach at South Dakota,
Kayla Karius. Duffney has started all 31 games for the Phoenix, and surpassed the 1,000 point mark in her career against Youngstown State on Dec. 7. The Titletown native is fourth in scoring at 7.7 points per game, featuring a 16-point day on Feb. 21, against Milwaukee on Senior Day, and 14 points vs. Detroit Mercy in Wednesday's first round matchup.

Kayla Karius, sitting at second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points to go with 4.3 rebounds per game. Schultz has scored 20+ points six times this season. Schultz was named to the All-League Third Team last week.

Jenna Guyer returned to the Phoenix lineup on Nov. 22 after an injury kept her out of the first five games of the season. In 23 games since then, Guyer has scored in double figures 21 times, including 17 straight times. Guyer is first on the team, averaging 15.2 points per game, and secured her career-high in points with 25 against (11) Detroit Mercy on Wednesday. Guyer was named the Horizon League Player of the Year last week.

COACH OF THE YEAR KAYLA
After winning the Horizon League and making the NCAA Tournament in her first season as the Phoenix Head Coach,
Kayla Karius will look to do the same in year two with an overhauled roster. Karius was named the Horizon League's Coach of the Year last Monday. Karius guided the Phoenix to a regular-season championship for the second straight season, and enters Indianapolis with a 23-8 record and a 17-3 record in Horizon League play this season. Green Bay graduated seven seniors and 85.2% of its scoring from 2024-25. The 2025-26 Phoenix features eight newcomers, consisting of six transfers and two true freshmen. After two seasons as the head coach at South Dakota and her seasons with the Phoenix, Karius holds an all-time record of 89-43.
