ABOUT THE PENGUINS
The Penguins have a 24-8 record and a 15-5 HL record under second-year head coach Melissa Jackson. Casey Santoro leads the team at 12.2 points per game and is second on the team at 5.4 rebounds per game. The Penguins have three other players who average double figures in points: Sarah Baker (11.6), Sophia Gregory (10.6), and Erica King (10.4). YSU defeated Cleveland State in the HL Semifinals 60-55 on Monday afternoon.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
Green Bay swept the regular-season series, winning 56-47 at home and 54-51 on the road. In the home win, Green Bay was led by
Meghan Schultz with 22 points and eight rebounds. Casey Santoro led YSU with 17 points and seven rebounds.
In the Phoenix road win,
Jenna Guyer led the team with 16 points and seven rebounds. Guyer connected on a game-winning three-pointer with 16 seconds left in the game. Sarah Baker led the Penguins with 18 points and seven rebounds on the day.
Green Bay is 52-6 against the Penguins in the all-time series. The two teams have played each other in the Horizon League Championships four times, most recently on March 7, 2024, in which the Phoenix won 94-57. GB Is 4-0 against the Penguins in the HL Tournament.
LAST TIME OUT
The Green Bay women's basketball team will play for a Horizon League Championship on Tuesday after defeating Purdue Fort Wayne 73-48 at the Corteva Coliseum on Monday in the Semifinals. The Phoenix will tipoff at 11 AM CT against the winner of Cleveland State/Youngstown State on ESPN2. The Phoenix held the Mastodons to just 16.7 percent from beyond the arc in a 3-for-18 shooting performance.
The Phoenix had three players score in double figures, led by a season-high from senior
Carley Duffney, who had 20 points.
Meghan Schultz tacked on a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and
Kristina Ouimette chipped in as well with 11 points from the bench.
Green Bay out-rebounded Purdue Fort Wayne 47-27 in Monday's game, led by Schultz's 10 boards, which she achieved through three quarters. The Phoenix also grabbed 16 offensive rebounds and scored nine second-chance points.
HORIZON LEAGUE AWARDS
On Monday afternoon last week, the Horizon League announced the #HLWBB All-League Awards. Green Bay headlined the awards with the Player of the Year in
Jenna Guyer and the Coach of the Year in
Kayla Karius. In addition to her Player of the Year award, Guyer also secured First Team and All-Defensive Team honors.
Maddy Skorupski was named All-League Second Team,
Meghan Schultz was named All-League Third Team, and
Kamy Peppler was a Sportsmanship Award Finalist.
HORIZON LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
For the second-straight season, the Phoenix won the Horizon League Regular Season Championship. Green Bay has won the regular-season title three out of the last four years.

Green Bay has crossed the 20+ win threshold for the fourth consecutive season. The Phoenix has had 20+ wins 36 times and is currently in its 53rd season.
PROTECT HOME COURT
Green Bay has been strong at home in 2025-26, with a 14-1 record. The Phoenix is 9-5 on the road and 1-2 on a neutral court.
POSTSEASON PICTURE
Green Bay looks to secure its third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance heading into the 2025-26 Horizon League Championships. The Phoenix has won the Horizon League Championships 18 times and appeared in the NCAA Tournament 20 times.
NATIONALLY SIGNIFICANT
Green Bay is ranked in the top 50 nationally in multiple categories. The Phoenix is 17th per game in assist/turnover ratio (1.32), 19th in assists per game (17.4), 33rd in field goal percentage allowed (37.2 percent), and 44
th in field goal percentage (44.9 percent).
TRIPLE DOUBLE
Former Oakland standout and one of two Horizon League All-League players left in the league from a season ago,
Maddy Skorupski, became the second player in program history to record a triple-double on Wednesday vs. Detroit Mercy. The only triple-double in Green Bay women's basketball history before Wednesday was on Feb. 28, 2004, when Mary Kulenkamp had 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists vs. UIC. Skorupski finished with 12 points, ten boards, and ten assists to complete the historic stat line. Skorupski is third on the team in points per game at 10.9, first in assists, averaging 4.6 (most in the HL), and leads GB with 2.1 steals per game. She scored her 1,000th career point against RMU on Feb. 5. Skorupski was named All-League Second Team for the second time in her career last Monday.
HOMECOMING QUEEN
Senior
Carley Duffney returned to her hometown of Green Bay to play her senior year under her old head coach at South Dakota,
Kayla Karius. Duffney has started all 32 games for the Phoenix and surpassed the 1,000 point mark in her career against Youngstown State on Dec. 7. The Titletown native is fourth in scoring at 7.7 points per game, featuring a 16-point day on Feb. 21, against Milwaukee on Senior Day, and a season-high 20 points vs. Purdue Fort Wayne in Monday's Horizon League Semifinal.

Meghan Schultz has had a breakout season for head coach
Kayla Karius, sitting at second on the team in scoring at 12.7 points to go with 4.5 rebounds per game. Schultz has scored 20+ points six times this season. Schultz was named to the All-League Third Team last Monday.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Jenna Guyer returned to the Phoenix lineup on Nov. 22 after an injury kept her out of the first five games of the season. In 24 games since then, Guyer has scored in double figures 21 times, including 16 out of the last 17 games. Guyer is first on the team, averaging 14.7 points per game, and secured her career-high in points with 23 on Senior Day vs Milwaukee. Guyer was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday, Jan. 19.

COACH OF THE YEAR KAYLA
After winning the Horizon League and making the NCAA Tournament in her first season as the Phoenix Head Coach,
Kayla Karius will look to do the same in year two with an overhauled roster. Karius was named the Horizon League's Coach of the Year last Monday. Karius guided the Phoenix to a regular-season championship for the second straight season and enters the Horizon League Championship Game with a 24-8 record and a 17-3 record in Horizon League play this season. Green Bay graduated seven seniors and 85.2% of its scoring from 2024-25. The 2025-26 Phoenix features eight newcomers, consisting of six transfers and two true freshmen. After two seasons as the head coach at South Dakota and her seasons with the Phoenix, Karius holds an all-time record of 90-42.
