Kamy Peppler Attends 'So You Want to Be a Coach" Program Hosted by WBCA

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Green Bay women's basketball Senior guard Kamy Peppler was selected as part of the 2026 class of the "So You Want To Be A Coach" program, led by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). Peppler attended the three-day workshop in Phoenix, Arizona, from April 1–3, which was held in conjunction with the Women's Final Four.

Also referred to as the "So" program, the program helps increase the application of skills necessary to secure coaching positions across women's basketball. It also connects female basketball players with coaches and administrators to support the transition from player to coach and to increase understanding and awareness of the competencies essential for success in coaching women's basketball.

"I was very proud to represent Green Bay women's basketball in Phoenix during the Final Four," said Peppler. "Being selected for this opportunity means a lot to me, and I'm grateful for the chance to learn from so many accomplished and respected coaches. It was a great time to gain some new perspectives, build relationships, and continue to grow as a coach and leader!"

To be considered for the program, participants must have completed their final season of eligibility at a four-year institution, graduated within the past year, and be nominated by their head coach who is a WBCA member. Selections are based on several factors, including academic success, impact on women's basketball both on and off the court, and professional experience.

"We were so excited for Kamy to earn this incredible opportunity," said head coach Kayla Karius. "Her leadership, competitiveness, and knowledge of the game have been invaluable to our team, and those qualities will translate seamlessly into the coaching world. This experience through the WBCA 'So You Want to Be a Coach' program was a well-deserved honor and a great opportunity for Kamy to continue growing, as well as a chance to network at the Final Four. I'm excited to see how this experience helps shape her future in coaching."

Peppler started all 34 games for the Phoenix, transferring to Green Bay for her senior season after three seasons at Milwaukee. The Hortonville, Wis. native led the Horizon League in assists at 4.6 per game and 157 overall. The 5'7" guard scored 6.6 points per game and was fourth on GB with 3.9 rebounds per game. Peppler was a nationwide highlight reel, earning a spot on SportsCenter's top ten plays of the week twice, being named sixth for her near half-court four-point play at Wright State on Dec. 30, and being named first place after she knocked down the game-winning three at the buzzer at Robert Morris on Feb. 5, 2026. Peppler surpassed 1,000 points in her collegiate career against her former team on the road on Jan. 17, while also eclipsing 500 career assists vs. Wright State on Jan. 29.
