GREEN BAY, Wis. – Green Bay Men's Basketball Coach Doug Gottlieb has announced the addition of Phillip Pattison as the program's Director of Basketball Operations ahead of the 2026-27 season.

"I'm incredibly honored to join Coach Gottlieb's staff and become part of the Green Bay basketball family," said Pattison. "This is a program with a strong tradition, passionate supporters, and an exciting vision for the future. I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute, build meaningful relationships with our student-athletes, and help them grow both on and off the court. I'm excited to get to work and do everything I can to help the program compete for a Horizon League championship" 

Pattison joins the program after spending the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach at nationally recognized junior college Chipola College in Marianna, Florida. Last season with the Indians, Pattison helped the program capture a Panhandle Conference championship, win the 2025-26 NJCAA Region 8 Championship, and earn a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament.

As Director of Basketball Operations, Pattison will oversee the day-to-day logistical operations of the program, including team travel, scheduling coordination, and administrative support, while assisting the coaching staff in creating a first-class student-athlete experience.

At Chipola, Pattison played an integral role in scouting, recruiting, player development, and the mentorship of student-athletes. During his two seasons associated with the program, Chipola won back-to-back Panhandle Conference championships, advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament in each season, and helped numerous players continue their careers at NCAA Division I institutions, including Florida A&M, TCU, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, North Florida, and North Carolina A&T.

Before joining Chipola, Pattison served as a student manager for the University of Missouri-Kansas City men's basketball program from 2022-24. While with the Roos, he assisted with player workouts, film breakdown, scouting reports, and team operations. He also worked closely with the Director of Basketball Operations to coordinate travel itineraries, team meals, flights, and hotel accommodations for road contests. During his tenure, UMKC made consecutive Summit League Tournament appearances and finished second in the conference standings during the 2023-24 season.

A native of the Kansas City area, Pattison scored more than 1,000 career points at West Platte High School before continuing his playing career at Baker University. He later transferred to UMKC, where he earned his bachelor's degree while serving as a student manager for the men's basketball program.
