INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Green Bay Volleyball's Alexa Hernandez has been named an Under Armour #HLVB Player of the Week. Hernandez was also named the Northwestern Invitational MVP. It is the first Player of the Week award in Hernandez's career.

Hernandez was a key piece in leading Green Bay to a 3-0 weekend, with wins over LIU, Virginia Tech, and Northwestern. The win over Northwestern was GB's first win over a Big Ten opponent since 2019.

The Green Bay, Wis., native averaged 45.0 assists per match, including 50 assists in the win over Northwestern on Sunday. Hernandez has now dished out 50+ assists two times this season.

The Phoenix opens its home slate this weekend against Western Illinois. The two teams will play at the Kress Center on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
