GREEN BAY, Wis. - Green Bay Volleyball Assistant Coach Shannon Coughlin has accepted an invitation to participate in this fall's "Leadership That Matters: From Vision to Impact" cohort.

"Shannon is incredibly deserving of this opportunity," said Green Bay Volleyball head coach Abbey Sutherland. "She is someone who is constantly looking for ways to grow, challenge herself and become a better leader for our student-athletes and our program. What I appreciate most about Shannon is that she won't just participate in this experience for herself. She'll bring what she learns back to our staff, our team and the greater UW-Green Bay community. We're really proud of her and excited to see the impact this opportunity will have."

The program is made possible through a partnership between UW-Green Bay Continuing Education and Schreiber Foods, whose ongoing commitment to regional leadership development brings high-impact training to the campus community. The program is led by the company's President & CEO Ron Dunford, and the Principal of Employee and Board Engagement Cheryl Conley. Each month, the program will host a session focusing on different aspects of leadership. The first session that Coughlin will be apart of is on September 22 titled: "Setting the Direction: Vision People Choose to Follow." To attend the session register HERE.

"I'm really excited for the opportunity to learn from and alongside leaders with different backgrounds and bring those perspectives back to our team, staff, and athletic department," Couglin added. "I'm grateful to be part of this experience and excited to keep growing as a leader and find new ways to positively impact the people around me."

As part of her selection, Coughlin will serve as a leadership ambassador for the university. The role involves taking insights back to her department, sharing key takeaways with colleagues, and helping communicate the impact of leadership development across campus.
