GREEN BAY CAREER


2011 Season

  • Concluded career at Green Bay with 168 hits, more than any player in Phoenix history

  • Led the Phoenix with 12 wins from the mound

  • Pitched 12 complete games for the Phoenix, recording two shut outs

  • Suffered knee injury April 3 at Cleveland State

  • Opened Horizon League play pitching a complete game, one-hitter, while striking out seven batters against Cleveland State April 2

  • Hit two homeruns March 18 against Bucknell in the Rebel Spring Games

2010 Season

  • Started all 47 games for the Phoenix as its ace pitcher while also contributing from the plate on offense

  • Earned First-Team All-Horizon League honors

  • From the plate, Cooney led the Phoenix with a career-best 56 hits in 152 at-bats which topped the Green Bay individual season record list

  • Cooney's .368 batting average helped drive in 30 runs for the Phoenix with a

  • Slugged .500 with an on-base percentage of .409

  • Crushed eight doubles and four homeruns

  • From the mound Cooney produced a 2.88 Earned Run Average (eighth best in the League) while logging 148.1 innings (seventh best in the League)

  • Of her 27 appearances, Cooney pitched 14 complete games, struke out 95 batters, and captured 12 wins

  • Cooney pitched three consecutive complete games in Green Bay's final homestand of the season to help the Phoenix earn a spot in the Horizon League Championship

2009 Season

  • Appeared in 43 of a possible 44 games, while starting each contest

  • Earned Horizon League Softball Pitcher of the Week for her May 2 and 3 performances against Youngstown State after hurling a combined 8 innings, allowing zeo runs and five hits, while striking out 10

  • Recorded 45 hits on the season, achieving a .321 batting average

  • Led Green Bay by driving in 24 runs, which at the time ranked sixth in the Phoenix single-season records

  • Also smashed three home runs which helped her accumualte a .434 slugging percentage

  • Took the mound in 25 games, starting 15 of them

  • Sported a 3.49 earned run average while compiling a 5-10 record

  • Struck out 68 batters in 100.1 innings pitched

  • Had a better than 2-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio

  • In addition to starting 15 games on the mound, Cooney closed out three games for the Phoenix

2008 Season

  • Played in only 13 games due to injury and received a redshirt for the season

  • Accumulated a .270 batting average while driving in three runs

  • Appeared in four games as a pitcher, starting all of them

  • Was the team's highest scoring reserve with 4.9 points per game

2007 Season

  • Was named to second-team All-Horizon League and the All-Newcomer Team

  • Led team in average with .333

  • One of three players to play in all 40 games, starting 39

  • Team leader with 39 hits to go along with six doubles and a triple

  • Second on the team in runs batted in with 19 and slugging percentage with .402

  • In league play, hit an outstanding .388

  • Appeared in 19 games as a pitcher, starting 14 of them

  • Composed a 7-7 record with a 3.91 earned run average while striking out 65 batters in 93 innings of work

 

HIGH SCHOOL


  • Senior year was named to second-team all-state while playing for United Township High School

  • First-team all-conference three year of her high school career

  • Gale Vogler Award Winner (female athlete of the year)

  • Named to the all-metro team three years

  • Helped lead United Township High School to a fourth place finish at state her senior year

  • Compiled a stellar .6 earned run average her senior year
