Patterson, a 6-foot-8 skilled big man, played his high school basketball at Kenwood Academy in Chicago, and was highly recruited and sought after by multiple Division I schools. Averaging almost 15.0 PPG and 9.0 RPG, Patterson chose Green Bay over other mid-major contenders and is one of four players that have signed to play at Green Bay originally from the state of Illinois (Bell, Pipes and Turner).
“Green Bay was the place for me because they have been with me throughout this process. They were in my corner when things weren't going well for me and they believed in me as much as I believe in myself,” Patterson said.
He has registered several double-doubles this season and was named to the Chicago Sun Times Newspaper All City team for the second year in a row, while also being named IBCA Fourth Team All-State his senior year. He led his team to the IHSA 4A State Regional Title this past season.
