Sam Myers will enter his third season as the director and head coach for the Green Bay Phoenix Nordic ski teams in 2023-2024. He was named to the position in September 2021. Myers was a member and two-time captain of the Green Bay Nordic ski team from 2016-2021, serving as captain in 2019-20 and 2020-21.
He was awarded the Endowed Scholarship in Athletics for exceptional leadership and academics in 2019. He also spent time as an assistant for the adult Nordic ski clinic in the greater Green Bay community from 2019-21. Myers was also the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee president for two years, coordinating numerous volunteer efforts in the community.
Myers graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2020 and is currently pursuing his Master's degree from UWGB as well. As an undergraduate, Myers earned Magna Cum Laude and received High Honors on the Dean's list as well.
