Alaynie Woollard enters her third season as an assistant coach for the Green Bay softball team. Woollard currently assists in all aspects of the program. Woollard comes to GB after 1 year at Franklin College (2018) as the assistant coach. Prior to her start in collegiate coaching Woollard assisted in coaching an elite travel softball team in her home state of Indiana from 2014-2018.Â
Woollard had a successful playing career at Northern Illinois University where she was a four-year letter winner from 2014-2018. She helped lead the Huskies to the Mid-American Conference Tournament all four years. During her time at NIU Woollard put up record-book-worthy offensive numbers. Woollard holds the single-season triple record (9) and sits at third for career triples (13). She is also in the top five in career home runs (27), single season home runs (10), and runs batted in (114).
In 2015, Woollard was given MAC West Player of the Week honors and in 2018 she received NFCA All-Great Lakes Region honors. Defensively, Woollard spent time at shortstop, catcher, and third base. Woollard also excelled in the classroom during her time at NIU, earning Academic All-MAC recognition three times.
Woollard has a bachelor's degree in Psychology.
