Brian Heyndrickx enters his first official season with the Phoenix in 2017 and brings a wealth of knowledge having played soccer his entire life along with coaching goalkeepers over 20 years at different levels. Brian has coached at Appleton East, Appleton West High Schools and Xavier High School in Appleton. Brian has also coached at the University of Mary and St Mary’s High School in Bismarck, North Dakota. Several of Brian’s goalkeepers were recognized as All-State selections. Brian’s passion is coaching with his wife Laura, their two children Ella and Rylan in their youth soccer leagues.

Brian works for a 9 billion dollar healthcare organization, which is a fortune 100 company as the Regional Vice President. He leads a sales and operations region of over 600 people and has been recognized many times for his ability to train and develop some of the best top performing teams in the healthcare industry. Brian’s passion to mentor and develop people carries over into his coaching philosophy.

Brian’s coaching philosophy not only centers around coaching technique, tactic’s and positional play, it center’s around mentoring and developing the player to be the best version of themselves by designing specific training plans, aligning with the players soccer goals, and coaching the player to achieve their desired results. Brian believes goalkeepers can be the difference makers in a soccer program and have a significant impact to a winning season.
