Chuck Coan was hired onto the Green Bay women’s soccer staff in the summer of 2022. He brings a surplus of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the program.
He isn’t new to Green Bay, having the title of goalkeeper coach as a volunteer assistant from 2003-2005 under then-head coach Quinn Ross. After his stint at GB, he spent much of his time in the Fox Valley. Coan was the JV coach at Kimberly high school in 2007 before returning to Marian from 2007-2009. He spent the 2008-2012 seasons as a Kaukauna High School girls' varsity coach. While at Kaukauna, he joined Michigan Tech as an assistant until 2019.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, the Huskies named Coan their caretaker coach. He also started as a goalkeeper/field player trainer at the Neenah Soccer Club, Kimberly Area Soccer Club, and Oshkosh United Soccer Club. Before he returned to GB this year, he was tasked with being a goalkeeper trainer at Xavier, New London, Hortonville, Appleton North, and Oshkosh West high schools.
Coan and his wife Marti have one daughter, Chelsea, and a grandson Eion. They reside in Neenah and have two Irish Wolfhounds named Orla and Paddrick.
