Joshua Davis joined the Green Bay women’s soccer program as an Assistant Coach in January 2025, bringing nearly 20 years of experience and a proven record of building competitive, academically strong programs across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III.

Davis comes to the Phoenix after three seasons as Head Coach at Upper Iowa University, where he guided the Peacocks in the powerful GLVC, and prior to that as Head Coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where he helped launch the school’s inaugural women’s soccer program.

Before his head coaching roles, Davis made his mark as an Associate Head Coach at the University of North Dakota, leading the program to its best NCAA Division I record (9-6-2) while topping the Summit League in both scoring and defensive stats.

His most decorated tenure came at the University of Idaho (2014–2018), where he helped engineer the largest turnaround in NCAA Division I that season — a 10-win improvement that produced a 14-4-3 record, an unbeaten 9-0-1 Big Sky campaign, and the program’s first-ever Big Sky regular-season championship. Under Davis, Idaho set single-season program records for goals (44), assists (56), and points (144), captured back-to-back Big Sky titles (2015, 2016), and produced 21 All-Conference selections, 47 All-Academic honorees, and multiple Big Sky Players of the Year.

A California native, Davis began his coaching career as an assistant at Cal State Fullerton before serving at IUPUI–Fort Wayne, Cal State San Bernardino, and Whittier College. He also led Moscow High School (Idaho) to district championships and back-to-back Inland Empire League Coaching Staff of the Year honors.

A former collegiate player at Victor Valley College and Hope International University, Davis holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton and an M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University–Irvine. He holds the following diplomas through United Soccer Coaches with Premier, Advanced National, and National Diplomas, as well as Goalkeeper Diplomas I–III.
