Worth noting:
In addition to playing volleyball at Parkside, Adams was also a member of the track & field team her senior year. During her time with the team, Adams broke the school record in the javelin throw with a toss of 35.67m.

Katie Adams will enter her second season as an assistant coach with the Phoenix in 2023.

Adams joins the Phoenix coaching staff from Indiana State, where she served as the program's assistant coach for two seasons. During the 2021 campaign, Adams helped guide the Sycamores to their highest-win season since 1983 (18). She was also instrumental in the program reaching consecutive Missouri Valley Tournament appearances, as well as the program's first-ever NIVC Tournament appearance in the fall of 2021. In addition, Adams helped coach All-MVC Second Team selection Madeline Williams.

Before her time at Indiana State, Adams served as an assistant coach for a season at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. During her time at Blinn, Adams helped the Buccaneers to a 29-8 record and a Region XIV Tournament appearance.

To go along with her notable coaching career, Adams was a four-year member of the volleyball team at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Adams currently sits seventh all-time in career assists at Parkside. In her senior season with the Rangers, she racked up the most triple-doubles in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and was second nationally. Adams also finished second in points and kills in the GLIAC her senior season and received Honorable Mention All-Conference honors.Â
