Korey Schroeder will be entering his fifth season as the volleyball program's assistant coach, after being hired in late May 2018.

During his second season as an assistant coach, Schroeder was a part of Green Bay finishing with an overall record of 21-9 and 12-4 in Horizon League action.  During non-conference play, the team defeated Ohio State at the Champyinz Invitational, which was the program's first victory over a power-five school since 2015.  Additionally, the Phoenix earned a spot as an AVCA Top 50 Team for the first time in program history and also finished the season with the 45th ranked RPI in the NCAA, the highest mark in the program's history as well.

In his first year as an assistant coach, Schroeder helped guide Green Bay to its first-ever Horizon League regular-season championship. The Phoenix finished 13-3 in the conference, and subsequently went on to win the Horizon League Tournament title and advance to the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament for the first time since 2003.

With his assistance during the 2018 season, Taylor Wolf was named Horizon League Player of the Year, Maddie Yoss was named Setter of the Year and Vanessa Buman was named Defensive Player of the Year. Alexandra Zakutney was also named to the All-Freshman Team, while Yoss and Austyn Everingham landed on the All-Academic Team.

This past season, Schroeder helped UW-Platteville get off to its best start in program history (7-0) before the team finished above .500 on the year for the first time since the 2012 season. Prior to his stint with the Pioneers, Schroeder served as the assistant coach at WIAA power Newman Catholic High School in Wausau, Wis.

In his two seasons at Newman, Schroeder helped the team capture the WIAA State Championship in both 2015 and 2016. He helped coach a pair of All-State players and assisted the team to a 74-8 record in his two seasons on the sidelines.

A native of Kaukauna, Wis., Schroeder has also spent the past three seasons leading the Wisconsin ICE Volleyball Club, including two years as head coach at the 16s level. He also served as the assistant coach for the 18-1’s with the Wisconsin ICE.

Schroeder was an All-State high school selection in 2009 for Kaukauna High School and played club volleyball during his time at UW-Platteville, where he was twice named to the NCVF All-Tournament Team. He also served two seasons as a student assistant at UWP.
