Sam Gauerke was hired as a staff athletic trainer in January 2021. She works primarily with the women's soccer and nordic ski teams.
Gauerke received her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2018 before obtaining her master's in Exercise Science from Concordia University - St. Paul in 2020.
She was a four-year letter winner for the UW-Eau Claire women's soccer team. While she attended Concordia in St. Paul, she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for their football, volleyball, and softball teams.
Sam and her husband, Zach, reside in Green Bay and are avid Wisconsin sports fans.
