GREEN BAY, Wis. (Nov. 21, 2009) - The Green Bay Phoenix (4-2)
dropped an 81-69 decision to Long Beach State 49ers (3-1) on Saturday afternoon
at the Resch Center. It was the sixth game in nine days to start the season for
the Phoenix, the busiest team in the nation since the campaign began.

total (16) and his 10 rebounds gave him his third career double-double and
first since the 2007-08 campaign. Cordero Barkley (Racine, Wis.) tallied a
career-high 14 points and added six boards.
Green Bay's trio of starting guards--Troy Cotton (Milwaukee,
Wis.), Rahmon Fletcher (Kansas City, Mo.) and Bryquis Perine (Milwaukee, Wis.)-combined
for 37 points, with Cotton's 16 leading the way. In all, five Green Bay players
landed in double figures.
Long Beach State's Stephan Gilling had 20 first-half points
on six 3-pointers to help the 49ers to a 38-31 halftime lead. He finished with
a game-high 22 points.
Green Bay's lone lead of the contest came at 3-2, while the
final score accounted for the largest lead of the game for the 49ers.
