GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - As Green Bay aims towards a sweep of a four-game
homestand against UIC on Saturday, the Phoenix will do so at an unusual time,
hosting the visiting Flames at 11 a.m. at the Resch Center. In conjunction with
the 11 a.m. start, the Phoenix will be selling all adult tickets for just $11
each.
Saturday's
contest will also be a Family Game, with families receiving four game tickets
and four hot dogs, four small sodas and four popcorns for just $38, and the
players will come out after the game for Free Throws with the Phoenix. Regular youth
tickets will be sold for $7 as usual.
While
the morning start time may be unusual, winning at home has not been in 2010-11
for the Phoenix. The team is 7-2 at home this season, including four-straight
victories on its home floor.
The
latest win for Green Bay was Thursday, when senior Rahmon Fletcher (Kansas City, Mo.) scored 14 of his game-high 21
points in the second half to lead the Phoenix past visiting Loyola, 71-68.
Fletcher's senior teammate, Bryquis Perine (Milwaukee, Wis.), chipped in with 16 points while freshman Alec Brown added 11 points and three blocks despite playing just 16 minutes. Green
Bay continued its rebounding efforts, outrebounding its sixth-straight
opponent.
UIC
enters Saturday's tip having dropped six-straight games since upsetting No.
12/14 Illinois 57-54 on Dec. 18. First-year coach Howard Moore's team fell at
Milwaukee on Thursday night, losing 87-75. Senior guard Robo Kreps, the Flames'
leading scorer, tallied 19 points in the loss.
Fletcher
and Kreps are both among the Horizon League's 10 scorers, with Fletcher's 16.5
points per game ranking him fourth and Kreps ranking seventh at 15.7 points per
clip.
