YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Maddie Drusch (Appleton, Wis.) made seven saves and earned her fifth shutout of 2011 at Youngstown State (3-8-3, 0-3-2) on Saturday, but the Green Bay women's soccer team (3-9-4, 1-3-2) was unable to buy a goal as the match ended in a 0-0 double overtime tie at Stambaugh Stadium.

"We struggled a bit in the first half, but in the second half we changed things around tactically and slowly gained control of the game," Phoenix head coach Trevor Warren said. "We had the possession and I felt like we were the better team after halftime and throughout overtime, but we just didn't finish our chances."

Both teams certainly had their opportunities to get on the scoreboard as the Phoenix and the Penguins combined for 36 total shots, 13 of which were on target. YSU edged Green Bay 20-16 in the shot category, including an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Green Bay's Renee Therrien (Winnipeg, Manitoba) tied for the game high with four shots, forcing Penguins goalkeeper Nicole Kline to make two of her five saves. YSU's Jade Flory also fired four shots, including three on goal.

Drusch now has 16 career shutouts, which ranks second on the school's all-time list. She will need to keep two more opponents out of the net in order to pass Barb Singer (17.5, 1990-93) in the record books. Drusch is already Green Bay's career saves leader with 372.

With just two regular season contests remaining, the pressure is on for the Phoenix to earn points to qualify for one of the six spots in the Horizon League tournament. Green Bay entered the contest owning a tiebreaker for the sixth and final spot.

"We felt like this was a must win game for us," Warren said. "We really needed to get the three points in the conference standings, but if we can get a result next week against Butler then we still have a chance."

Green Bay and Butler will kick off at 12 p.m. next Sunday at Santaga Stadium. It will be the annual senior day contest, where the Phoenix seniors will be honored prior to kickoff.
