GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's soccer team dropped its third game in a row on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 on the road to Detroit in Horizon League action at Titan Field. The Phoenix falls to 3-6-3 overall in 2014 and 0-2-1 in conference play.

The host Titans (6-4-2, 3-1-0 HL) received a two-goal performance from Spiro Pliakos, who notched his second and third goals of the season. Detroit struck first in the 15th minute before adding the second goal a little over eight minutes later in the 23rd minute.

Detroit would add a third goal in the 66th minute to put the game out of reach for good.

The Phoenix was only outshot 5-3 on goal in the contest and played three corners to Detroit's five. Detroit led by just one in shots overall at 12-11.

The three goals allowed by Green Bay are the most since the team gave up four to DePaul on Sept. 1 at home in a 4-3 overtime loss. Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities and applying pressure for another 90 minutes, the Phoenix has now been shutout in three straight games.

Green Bay will return home on Wednesday, Oct. 15, when it plays host to UIC. Game time is set for 7 p.m. under the lights at Santaga Stadium.
