GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Enjoying its final road game of the regular season, the Green Bay women's soccer team will continue Horizon League play at UIC on Wednesday (Oct. 22) night. The Phoenix will be looking to snap a two-game losing skid before returning home for its final two matches of the season.

ABOUT GREEN BAY 

AWAY FROM HOME

Green Bay owns an above .500 record away from Santaga Stadium this year, currently sitting at 4-3-1 on the road this season including a 1-1-0 record in league play. In its most recent outing, the Phoenix fell in OT against a talented Detroit squad at home 3-2. Green Bay still owns a 1.93 to 1.00 edge in goals scored per game, but let in three goals on Saturday to Detroit, the most allowed in a single game this season.

HELPING HARTMANN

While the junior Heidi Hartmann (Plymouth, Minn.) continues to lead both the Phoenix and the Horizon League in goals scored with 11, she has not scored since the Horizon League home-opener on Oct. 8 against Milwaukee. While that is only two games without a goal, Hartmann has been on a tear, averaging almost a goal a game. UIC presents a golden opportunity for the striking forward to notch yet another score.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT

UIC

The Flames have endured some struggles in conference play in their first season of program history while going 0-5-0, but they have played two overtime games in those five. The team has scored just two goals in league play this year and currently sits at 2-13-0 overall.

SERIES HISTORY

This will be the first all-time meeting between the two, as UIC is only in its first season of soccer.
