MOREHEAD, Ky.  (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green  Bay men's basketball team will play its final game of the 2015 calendar year on Monday night, when it faces Morehead State in nonconference action at Johnson Arena.

TIP-OFF: Monday, Dec. 28, 6 p.m. CT

LOCATION: Ellis T. Johnson Arena

SERIES RECORD: Green Bay won the only meeting all-time last year at the Resch Center, when it downed the Eagles 66-50. The Phoenix jumped out to a 12-0 lead early on in that game.

WATCH/LISTEN: The game will be streamed online via the OVC Digital Network and can be heard on WNFL. Fans can also follow live stats.

UP NEXT: The Phoenix will open up Horizon League play on Saturday, Jan. 2 at 1 p.m. against Northern Kentucky. The matchup at the Resch Center will be NKU's first-ever game as a member of the Horizon League.

NOTES

Green Bay's defensive effort against the Badgers on 12/23 was historic. Despite its 84-79 defeat, the Phoenix shattered a pair of Kohl Center records for both turnovers forced (26) and steals (18) in the contest. Wisconsin's previous high water marks in Madison were 20 turnovers committed (twice, last vs. Valpo, 12/22/07) and 12 steals allowed (also twice, last vs. Florida International, 12/02/06).

Green Bay has had nine or more players score in all 11 of its games to begin the 2015-16 season. Additionally, the Phoenix has had five players eclipse double-figures three times already this season, something last year's 24-9 team accomplished only once.

As of Dec. 27, every player on Linc Darner's roster has posted a new career high in scoring: Carrington Love (32), Charles Cooper (19) and Kerem Kanter (12) at Stanford, Kenneth Lowe (23) at ETSU, Anthony (8) and Avery Brown (9) at Georgia Tech, Jordan Fouse (22) at SIUE, Turner Botz (12) and Jamar Hurdle (10) vs. Pacific and Tevin Findlay (19), Khalil Small (16) and Henry Uwadiae (8) vs. UW-Superior. The Phoenix has 10 players averaging better than 10.0 minutes per game thus far.

Green Bay's new system has also yielded positive results on the defensive end of the floor. Through its first 11 games, the Phoenix has forced opponents into double-digit turnovers in every game, while forcing 20.9 per game over its current 6-2 stretch dating back to 11/22 against Minnesota-Duluth.

Green Bay has generated 11.9 steals per contest this season, which ranks 2nd in the nation behind West Virginia (12.0) as of 12/27, while seniors Jordan Fouse and Carrington Love both rank inside the top 11 in the NCAA. As of that same date, the Phoenix leads the nation in steals per turnover ratio at 0.98.

Green Bay will be making its first-ever appearance in Morehead, Ky., against the Eagles on Monday night, in just the second game in the all-time series. The Phoenix defeated Morehead State 66-50 in the program's only other meeting on 12/17/14 at the Resch Center.

With wins against Eastern Illinois (W, 81-72) and SIUE (W, 87-69), Green Bay is 2-0 against the Ohio Valley Conference on the road this season. Entering 2015-16, the Phoenix had just a 8-13 (.381) road record against current members of the OVC, compared to 22-9 (.710) at home.
