GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com)A familiar face will be gracing the Green Bay sidelines in the 2015 season, as head coach Kim Brandao has announced the addition of former Phoenix standout, Chandra Eigenberger, to the 2015 coaching staff. Eigenberger, a senior on the historic 2014 squad, will be working with the 2015 team and assuming the title of student assistant coach.

In her final season with the team, Eigenberger aided the Phoenix to its first 11-win season in 20-plus years. Green Bay led the Horizon League in goals scored (36), assists (29) and points (101). The native of Green Bay, Wis., scored two goals and added four assists to total eight points in 2014 and also appeared in all 20 games.

Upon the completion of her senior year, she made the roster for the Portland Thorns FC, a member of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She began training with the team in March, a roster that includes current U.S Women's National Team stars Alex Morgan, Tobin Heath and Rachel Van Hollebeke.

“We are thrilled to have Chandra join our coaching staff as Student Assistant Coach,” Brandao said. “Her commitment, passion for the game and experience at the professional level will be a great asset to the program.”
