GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's soccer team saw netted two goals against league-leading Valparaiso on Saturday night at Aldo Santaga Stadium, picking up its second league victory of the season. William Nordenstrom was the first to strike for the Phoenix, sending a free kick into the back of the Crusaders' goal in the 23rd minute. Tyrus Sciarra added to the Green Bay tally in the 82nd minute, netting a header for his first goal of the season on a ball centered by Karim Lauba.
Goalkeeper Kyle Ihn tallied five saves in the match and recorded his fourth shutout of the season. The Phoenix will now set its sights on its matchup with in-state rival Milwaukee next Saturday and will look to retain the Chancellor's cup for the fourth-straight year.
