DETROIT, Mich.. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's soccer team received a pair of goals from two first-time goal scorers on Saturday afternoon at Detroit Mercy, winning 2-0 to keep its Horizon League Tournament hopes alive. The Phoenix (4-9-2, 3-3-2 HL) now owns 11 points in league play, which makes it tied with two other teams heading into the Saturday nightcap.
Tomer Zloczower scored the first goal of the game and the first goal of his career in the 48th minute, off an assist from Buran Huseini. Brian Vang then went on to score the first goal of his career and put the lead at two goals to none, while Marco Bautista assisted on that score.
