Dominant Defense Leads Green Bay Past Little Rock, 57-31

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Taking the court against Little Rock in Round Two of the Preseason WNIT, the Green Bay women's basketball team used a dominant defensive performance to defeat the Trojans, 57-31.

Jessica Lindstrom led the way for the Phoenix with 15 points and nine rebounds, just one shy of her second-straight double-double to start the season. The junior also went 7-of-8 from the floor and picked up one block in 25 minutes.

Mehryn Kraker added 10 points to the Phoenix total on a 4-of-8 shooting performance.  She also doled out four assists, grabbed two steals and blocked one shot in 28 minutes.

Green Bay opened up the game with a 20-3 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, as the Phoenix went on to outscore the Trojans in each of the following quarters and collect its second victory of the season, 57-31.

Green Bay will now advance in the Preseason WNIT to face the winner of No. 1/2 Notre Dame/Fordham.
