GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The men's soccer team welcomed Wright State to Aldo Santaga Stadium for its Horizon League opener this evening, kicking off against the Raiders (3-2-0, 0-1-0) at 7 p.m. The Phoenix (1-4-0, 1-0-0) took full advantage of an attack in transition that saw Robleh Omar find an open William Nordenstrom on the left side of the box, who then beat a charging keeper to find the back of the net in the 19th minute and garner an early 1-0 lead.
Wright State's offense continued to press late into the match but could not seem to best the Green Bay backline. Kyle Ihn recorded five saves in the contest and recorded his first clean sheet of the season.
