Strong Start Not Enough for Green Bay at Drake, Falls 2-1

DES MOINES, Iowa (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's soccer team took the pitch against 2015 NCAA Tournament participant Drake in Des Moines, Iowa this evening, jumping out to an early 1-0 lead over the Bulldogs before falling 2-1 in regulation. Andre Baires netted his second goal of the season in the 26th minute to give the advantage to the Phoenix, but a strong offensive effort from Drake in the second half led to a pair of unanswered goals and an eventual loss for the Green Bay.

The Phoenix will return to its Horizon League season in Rochester, Mich., this weekend, taking on Oakland this Saturday at 6 p.m.
