MACOMB, Ill. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay took a break from conference play this afternoon to travel to Macomb, Ill., for a matchup with Western Illinois. The Leathernecks scored in the 31st minute of the contest after Jacob Bevan worked through the Phoenix backline and found the back of the net on a shot from inside the Green Bay box. Goalkeeper Kyle Ihn recorded six saves in the match for the Phoenix.
Green Bay will return to play this weekend in Cleveland, Ohio when it takes the pitch for a league bout with Cleveland State.
