GAME NOTES
  • Green Bay led by 32 at the half and cruised to the 86-50 win over Parkside on Saturday night. Five players scored in double figures, led by Hunter Crist's career-high 16 points. David JespersonPJ Pipes and Kameron Hankerson each scored 11 points in the game, while senior Khalil Small recorded 10 points for his 10th-straight game in double-figures this season. Jesperson grabbed 6 rebounds and 5-for-7 from the floor, while Pipes went a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line.
  • The Phoenix is now 4-1 at home this season.
  • GB has continued to knock down its free throws this season, and now ranks 15th in the NCAA in free throw percentage at 78.6 percent (151-192), which also leads the Horizon League. The Phoenix went 22-for-28 from the charity stripe in its last game at ISU, and has now made 20 or more free throws in four of its nine games this season.
  • Khalil Small has now scored in double figures in all 9 games this season, after scoring 15 points at Indiana State on Tuesday. Small has scored 15+ points in four games this season and leads the team in scoring while ranking 7th in the Horizon League with 15.1 PPG. The senior has been money at the free throw line as well, making 43 of his 46 attempts for 93.5 percent. That percentage leads the HL and ranks 16th in the NCAA, while Small is second in the NCAA in free throw makes related to percentage. The Chicago native is a career 8.9 PPG scorer, nearly doubling that output this season, and has averaged in double figures in each season under head coach Linc Darner.
  • It was a cold night shooting from the 3-point line against ISU for the Phoenix, as it converted a season-low three made 3-pointers. That performance snapped a streak of four-straight games with at least eight made 3s. GB does still rank fourth in the HL in 3-point FG percent (33 percent) and fifth in 3-pointers made per game with 7.6.
  • Over the last four seasons, Green Bay has had three players averaging in double figures at the end of the season. This season, Khalil Small is the lone Phoenix player in double figures. Kameron Hankerson (9.3 PPG) and TJ Parham (8.6 PPG) are second and third in scoring on the team, respectively.
