GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women's soccer team opened its weekend road trip in Charleston, Ill., against Eastern Illinois (2-0-1) on Friday afternoon at Lakeside Field. The Phoenix (0-3) surrendered a goal in the 89th minute of play after owning advantages in shots (13-9) and corner kicks (5-1). Green Bay will continue its road trip on Sunday afternoon at Southeast Missouri State with kickoff slated for 12 p.m. (CT).
Carli Vogel tallied a game-high four shots in the contest, followed closely by teammate
Maggie Fuller who notched three. A total of six different Phoenix members recorded a shot in the match. Freshman
Madison Holland received the start for the Phoenix and shined despite the lone goal, amassing four saves in 90 minutes.
