GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- Green Bay allowed its fewest points ever against a Horizon League opponent in the Linc Darner era on Thursday night, dominating Cleveland State from start to finish in the 66-44 win at the Resch Center. GB (9-15, 4-7 HL) held the Vikings (5-17, 2-7 HL) to a season-low 44 points and just 27.7 percent (13-for-47) shooting on the night.

The Phoenix needed a win at home, and they got just that in a redemption win over Cleveland State, which beat them by one point in Cleveland earlier this season. Green Bay had lost three of its last four at home, but registered its sixth win in the last seven tries against CSU at home.

With his former teammate and Phoenix great Keifer Sykes in the building, Khalil Small continued his impressive senior campaign, scoring 25 points on just 14 shots. Small went 9-for-9 at the free throw line and moved into 20^th place on the program's all-time career scoring list, passing former teammate Jordan Fouse, Jerry Carstensen, Tom Brown and Mike King.

Manny Patterson came up big once again, registering his first career double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Patterson finished an efficient 5-for-7 from the field, and kept possessions alive by grabbing five offensive rebounds.

Green Bay held CSU scoreless for more than 7 minutes and 30 seconds in the first half, taking a 16-5 lead on a 12-0 run after trailing 5-4 early on. The Phoenix took a commanding 32-13 lead into the half, its largest lead in any Horizon League game at the break this season, while 13 points it allowed in the first half are the fewest since Lakeland scored 11 points in the first half earlier this year.

Cleveland State actually made more free throws (14) than it did field goals in the game (13), while going just 4-for-20 from the 3-point line. CSU had only one player in double-figures, while GB had three.

The third player in double figures for GB in the 22-point win was Hunter Crist, who gave the Phoenix a 12-point lift off the bench. Crist defended well and knocked down two 3s as well, racking up his highest point total in any league game this year.

The Phoenix will play its final home game at the Resch Center on Saturday at noon, hosting Youngstown State. The game will serve as the program's annual BlackOut Cancer Game presented by Prevea Health, and will also be part of the department's Hall of Fame weekend.

Former head coaches Dave Buss, Dick Bennett and Mike Heideman will all be in attendance on Saturday, with Coach Heideman receiving a special recognition at halftime. The game is also this year's Alumni Day, with several former players taking the court at halftime as well.
