Women’s Soccer Concludes Season at Home Friday Night

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women's soccer team will conclude their 2018 regular season with a home match against Youngstown State. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday at Aldo Santaga Stadium. Prior to the game, children in attendance will receive candy at the ticket counter in honor of the Trick-or-Treat with the Phoenix event.
 
The Penguins (1-13-3, 0-7-1 HL) enter the match coming off a 0-1 loss at Detroit Mercy. This season, the Penguins recorded an average shot percentage of .387, averaging 8.1 shots per game. Of their total 17 games this season, five matches have gone into overtime.
 
The Phoenix (2-13-1, 0-7-1 HL) head into Friday's game following a tough loss against IUPUI. In the past seven matches, four games have gone into overtime. Freshman midfielder McKayla Kertscher ranks in the top ten in the Horizon League for shots, averaging 2.13 shots per game. Junior goalkeeper Courtney Klatt earned her way into the top five for saves, averaging 4.58 saves per game.
 
Friday's match marks the end of the regular season for both teams. Coming into the game, Green Bay leads the series 14-3-2 against Youngstown State.
