GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- A strong second half from the Green Bay women's basketball team led the Phoenix to a 70-39 victory over Maine (2-2) on Tuesday night at the Kress Center. Career-high and double-digit performances from
Lyndsey Robson (18 points) and
Laken James (12 points) aided GB (2-2) in the win.
Robson's 18 points came on a 6-of-9 performance from the field and a near-perfect 4-for-5 effort from beyond the arc in 22 minutes. James reached double digits and surpassed her career-best mark for the second-consecutive game with 12 points while going 6-for-10 in 28 minutes.
Green Bay led 24-18 at the half but after matching its first half total in the third quarter alone, the Phoenix owned a strong 48-28 advantage as the teams headed to the fourth quarter. The Phoenix didn't let up on either end, outscoring the Black Bears 22-11 in the final quarter to secure a 70-39 win.
