BROOKINGS, SD. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's basketball team suffered its third loss of the season on Thursday night in Brookings, S.D., at Frost Arena, falling to South Dakota State 77-47.
Green Bay was limited to just 15-of-51 (29%) in the matchup, while the Jackrabbits scored on 47% of their attempts, converting 27-of-58 shots. The Phoenix cut the lead to 14 points with 7:11 to play, but South Dakota State locked GB down and used a 20-4 run to seal a victory.
Laken James and
Lyndsey Robson led the Phoenix scoring effort with 11 points apiece, with Robson finishing a perfect 8-for-8 at the line and James sinking four of her eight shot attempts.
Green Bay looks to bounce back this Saturday when the team takes on South Dakota at 1 p.m. in Vermillion.
