GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's basketball team opened the 2018-19 campaign at home on Tuesday night at the Kress Center against Big Ten member Northwestern. The Phoenix fell in its season opener for the first time since the 2006-07 campaign, as the Wildcats claimed a 57-55 victory.

Freshman Hailey Oskey enjoyed an 18-point outing in her first official action as a member of the Phoenix, amassing 16 points before the end of the first half. Oskey finished 5-for-9 from the field and a nearly perfect 5-of-6 from long range in 27 minutes. Sophomore Lyndsey Robson was the only other double-digit scorer for Green Bay, adding 10 points on a 3-for-5 clip with two triples.

The Phoenix will face another tough test this Friday when the team travels to Chicago, Ill., to take the court against No. 15 DePaul for a 7 p.m. tipoff. The matchup will serve as the season opener for the Blue Demons.
