GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's basketball team defeated in-state rival Wisconsin (7-3) at the Kress Center on Saturday afternoon, pulling away in the second half to secure a 55-46 victory.
Jen Wellnitz finished with a game-high 14 points on a near-perfect 6-of-7 performance from the field to notch a new season high in points and finish just a single point shy of her career-best mark, 15.
Madison Wolf finished with nine points and a career-high 12 rebounds in 34 minutes.
Frankie Wurtz scored eight points and corralled eight boards in 27 minutes.
Green Bay's (4-4) next pairing comes against another in-state rival, as the Phoenix travels to Marquette next weekend to face the Golden Eagles on Saturday at the Al McGuire Center.
