BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Green Bay softball team continued play in the Hilltopper Classic hosted by Western Kentucky on Saturday, taking the diamond against Toledo for a morning matchup. The Rockets plated three in the pairing and held Green Bay off the board to improved to 5-3 on the season.

The Phoenix gave itself a scoring chance early with a single, a sacrifice bunt and another single to start the game. A walk drawn by
Aubrey Drohner loaded the bases with two outs remaining but back-to-back strike outs doomed Green Bay's scoring chances.

Bailey Curry and Ashley Rausch each homered to account for all of Toledo's runs as the Rockets picked up the 3-0 victory.

The Phoenix outhit Toledo in the matchup, 4-3, but allowed for one defensive miscue while the Rockets were perfect in the field.

Kayla Schwebke was in the circle again for Green Bay, putting in six innings of work and allowing only three hits.
Due to inclement weather, Green Bay's second game of the day was canceled. Green Bay will be back in action tomorrow against Western Kentucky at 10:00 a.m. followed by a rematch with Toledo at 2:30 p.m.
