GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to UIC on Friday night, playing in its seventh Horizon League match of the season.
The Phoenix (1-12, 0-7 HL) dropped fell behind 1-0 after doubles play and eventually lost five singles matches at Western Racquet against the one-loss Flames (11-6, 5-1 HL).
"Theresa and Tallie got out to a fast start in doubles, but UIC seemed to have all of the answers. UIC won with smart tennis and a lot of depth on their team. They were very consistent and out-rallied us tongiht," said head coach
Tim Dean.
Green Bay will host IUPUI tomorrow afternoon at 5 p.m. at Western Racquet for Senior Day.
