GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay Phoenix women's soccer team soundly defeated the Viterbo V-Hawks at today's afternoon exhibition match 2-0. Senior Carli Vogel notched a first-half goal by heading the ball into the net off of a wide pass from the right from senior Nicole Piette. Late in the second half, sophomore Kendra Wolfgram took the ball to the center and shot into the upper-left hand corner of the goal to give the Phoenix an unbreakable lead.

In the second exhibition game of the season, Green Bay was all over Viterbo's side of the field for most of the game, giving the home team major offensive practice. The Phoenix also had the chance to work on corner kicks, taking four in the first half and two in the second half. The women totaled 25 shots throughout the entirety of the game, with senior Alycia Wright leading the pack with five shots, followed by redshirt senior Brianna Messner and Wolfgram with four each.

Defending the goal, Courtney Klatt rarely had the pressure on her today as opposed to the first exhibition game. She secured two saves, with Green Bay only allowing the V-Hawks to manage 5 shots the entire match.

GOAL SUMMARY
37' | GB | Vogel (Assist: Piette) A wide kick from the right side of the field sent the ball from Piette to Vogel, who headed the ball and sent it bouncing past the goal line.

83' | GB | Wolfgram (Unassisted) Wolfgram went up the middle of the field, turned, and shot the ball past the goalie and into the top left-hand corner of the goal to secure the win.
