GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Horizon League announced the 2018-19 league schedule in its entirety on Thursday, two days after the league office released the breakdown for 2019 Motor City Madness postseason play.
  
COMPLETE 2018-19 SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN
Borseth returns to the helm of the Green Bay women's basketball program for the 16th season in 2018-19, a year removed from leading the Phoenix to its 20th-consecutive regular season title and 18th NCAA Tournament appearance.

"We always try to put together a competitive schedule, and this year I believe we have done that," head coach Kevin Borseth said. "We have a good balance of home and away in nonconference which will help prepare us for conference play. The Horizon League is getting better top to bottom, and as a result we have some very challenging games in league play. We are going to have to be at our best every time we step onto the floor, and we are excited to get this season started."

The first on-court action the Phoenix will see this season comes in the form of an exhibition matchup when the team welcomes UW-Stevens Point to the Kress Center on Oct. 24, before wrapping up the exhibition season by hosting UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 30.

The regular-season schedule features 14 home games, five nonconference matchups in addition to the nine league games. Green Bay opens the 2018-19 campaign by welcoming Northwestern to the Kress Center on Tuesday, Nov. 6, before hitting the road for matchups at DePaul (Nov. 9) and Missouri (Nov.16).

The home nonconference schedule rounds out with pairings against Maine on Nov. 20, Dayton on Nov. 24 and a matchup with in-state rival Wisconsin on Dec. 8. The Phoenix will wrap up nonconference play at home against UW-Parkside on Dec. 18 before hitting the road to tipoff the 18-game league slate at Milwaukee on Dec. 28.

Gameday experience was a focal point for the athletics department this offseason, and with another season of Phoenix basketball comes a new promotional schedule riddled with individual game promotions such as giveaways, special theme nights, ticket and concession discounts, and other in-game entertainment throughout the season.

New in 2018-19, GB students can enjoy a party deck atmosphere for all games at the Kress Center when classes are in session. Students will receive special pricing on beverage and food items in that area, while continuing to receive free admission to all home games.
