GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay men's soccer is ready to face off against Purdue Fort Wayne on Tuesday night. This game marks the mid-season point for both teams, with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
Prior to and during the game, kids can enjoy free balloon animals and face painting. These festivities are in celebration of Green Bay Youth Night and all parents are encouraged to bring their kids to the game.
The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons come into Tuesday's game with a 5-3 record, currently owning a two-game winning streak. Their most previous win ended 3-2 after a penalty kick by Romain Lopez with less than two minutes into overtime.
The Mastodons were not the only team to win in dramatic fashion, as the Phoenix recently defeated IUPUI in double overtime.
Tomer Zloczower netted a penalty kick to win the game, marking his fourth goal on the season. This snapped a two-game losing streak for the Phoenix.
The Phoenix defense shined bright this past weekend, as the squad allowed only a single shot-on-goal in regulation and the following overtime periods.
